Sound is a very important part of the Soul Survivor set up – how else would we hear Mike sing on the last day! And although we employ a professional sound team they can’t be in all our venues at the same time so we try to give them a bit of help.
Our sound team take responsibility for the smaller venues around site like Café Uno or Gigs maintaining sound levels, interacting with any bands for the venue and generally bringing some sound engineering expertise to the proceedings.
You will have to supply your own accommodation but in return for your hard work you will get a free place at the event and all your meals (beginning on the evening day 1 – to the evening of day 5) – what more could you want!
how old do i have to be?
The minimum age is 18.
what will my days look like?
You will work 8 hours a day in a venue that has been assigned to you making sure all equipment is used properly and Soul Survivor sound policies are adhered to. As each venue works slightly differently no two sound team member’s days will be the same but you should have the opportunity to go to most of the main meetings.
when will i need to be on site?
Day 1 to midnight Day 5! There’s a meeting on Day 1 for all teams in the early afternoon followed by an individual team meeting where you’ll meet your lovely team leaders and pick up your wristband! The times for these meetings will be confirmed closer to the summer but as long as you are there early afternoon you will be fine.
do i need anything extra to be on this team?
Full training will be given – although previous sound experience would be useful!

You can apply online using our booking system. If you haven't done so already you will need to register with our online system, then login. Book a place on the event of your choice and choose the option to book as a team member. It’s completely free to volunteer with us so won’t have to give any payment details.
