night stewards
There is a group of people at Soul Survivor who are only seen at night – spending their evenings patrolling the Soul survivor site ensuring the safety and security of all the sleeping delegates and encouraging those that are not yet asleep that that they should quieten down and think about doing just that!
If you have an ability to stay awake and a willingness to serve in a place that is often overlooked then the night stewarding team may be for you. As well as taking a persuasive role in keeping order and gently challenging noisy or unhelpful behaviour you will also work closely with the Village Hosts and Fringe teams on site to maintain the well being of our delegates.
In return for your hard work we will supply you with a bed (although we can’t promise anything too luxurious), a free place at the event and all your meals (beginning on your first night shift day 0 to the morning of Day 6).
how old do i have to be?
The minimum age is 18.
what will my nights look like?
Night Stewards work 10pm – 8am every evening spending your time patrolling the site dealing with any problems that may arise don’t worry though you will provided with food throughout the night!
when will i need to be on site?
Day 0 (the day before the event starts) to the morning of Day 6! There’s a meeting on Day 0 at 7pm for the night stewarding team where you’ll pick up your wristband and meet your lovely night steward manager and the rest of the stewarding team!
do i need anything extra to be on this team?
An ability to stay awake! You will be required to complete a CRB form before we can confirm your place on team. A pack will be sent to you when we process your initial application. If you already have a CRB with Soul Survivor that is less than three years old then you will not have to complete a new one!

ok, you’re interested, but how do you apply?
Please apply for your place on team online (we're no longer accepting team applications by post or email in 2012).
You can apply online using our booking system. If you haven't done so already you will need to register with our online system, then login. Book a place on the event of your choice and choose the option to book as a team member. It’s completely free to volunteer with us so won’t have to give any payment details.
