
The Stores team is there to make sure that the right things are in the right place at the right time! You’ll have an important role for our volunteers and provide invaluable problem solving and support from behind the scenes.
Working within a team you will help keep the Cafés stocked with yummy cakes and refreshing drinks, keep the kids work supplied with enough biscuits & squash to fill up several hundred children and you will help to ensure that the Catering team have everything they need to feed all the hungry team members. Sounds busy! This is one of the most crucial teams on site as it keeps a lot of venues running smoothly and keeps the delegates happy as they enjoy their cake!
You will have to supply your own accommodation but in return for your hard work you will get a free place at the event and all your meals (beginning on the morning day 1 to the evening of day 5) – what more could you want!
The minimum age is 18.
Under the direction of the Stores manager each day you will have to organise and make sure that our teams have all they need. Your role will include some relatively early mornings with deliveries arriving from about 8am. You will then work on a shift basis for 8 hours a day (this may be broken into two shifts over the day). Stores’ opens from 8am – 12pm and 4pm – 8pm, but you will spend time outside of these hours preparing stock/equipment to be collected or delivered.
Day 0 (day before the event) to the morning of Day 6! There’s a meeting on Day 0 at 7pm with the rest of the stores team. You’ll meet your lovely team leaders, pick up your wristband and learn all your shifts for the week!
Please note if you are applying for Momentum you will need to be available until noon on Day 6 (24th August).
Full training will be given but a little bit of upper body strength would help!
