2. frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions can be about pretty much anything. One of the most commonly asked questions is 'How are you?', which most of us shorten to 'Alright?'.

Both are questions, both are asked of us and by us on an almost daily basis. Here are some other frequently asked questions that concern applying for a place on team at Soul Survivor or Momentum. We hope they help you to have a few less questions filling up your day.

2.
i am trying to book a team place online but it keeps taking me to the booking page?

To book a place on team you first have to go through some of the booking pages (which event, giving us the details of your church, camping requirements etc). Then at the bottom of the ‘confirm your details’ page there is an option to complete your team application. This will not have been completed until you have given us you team choices, referee details and photo.

3.
do i have to supply three choices for my team application?

You don’t have to but because some teams fill up a lot quicker than others it would help to have at least one other option.  If a team is full we will automatically transfer you to your second choice.

4.
my team photo won’t load?

Firstly make sure the photo is passport size and a lower resolution. If the picture still won’t load please email it to teams@soulsurvivor.com and we will complete your booking and email you confirmation.

5.
who can be my reference?

We ask for a reference for all our applicants – this should be the leader of your current church who you have known for at least 6 months and is not related to you. If the minister of your church is a relation, please use another leader from your church and specify their job role. If you have any problems finding a referee that matches this description please contact the offices.

Please note your team leader cannot be one of your references.

6.
i have applied but not heard anything?

When you apply online, you will receive an email explaining the next stages of your application and one with the our Child Protection policy. If you have not received this email it may be that you have not finished your booking. Log back into your account and on the left hand side select ‘My team applications’- here you will see if your application is unfinished. We aim to complete every application within a month of your initial application. This though is dependent on how quickly we receive your references and CRB checks.

7.
how much time will I have off?

All teams work on different shifts, each working everyday no matter what team.  For a more detailed description please go to the individual team pages. Please remember when applying for teams that whilst we want you to enjoy the event you’ve applied for as a team member your primary commitment will be to your team to help with the running of Soul Survivor rather than participating in the event itself.

8.
i can’t see the team I want to apply for?

If the team you want isn’t in the drop down menu or on this page when you apply online unfortunately it either means the team is full or an ‘invite only’ team.

9.
do you have a waiting list?

If a team is full unfortunately we don’t hold a waiting list, the only time this happens is if the entire event fills up – we will then start a general waiting list for all teams.

10.
can we book on team as a group?

You can express an interest on being team as a group but each member of the group will need to fill out the application form individually. They can do this by logging in to our booking system and filling in the rest of the application and uploading their photo. If you are looking to be on the same time we would advise booking early to make sure there’s enough space for all of you and let us know that you all want to be together!

11.
i am bringing a youth group can I still be on team?

All our teams require a certain amount of commitment and as long as you are able to fulfil the teams responsibilities as well as looking after your youth group then we would love to have you on team. However please make sure though that you are able to do both – go to the teams pages to find out what commitments your chosen team requires.

12.
