Soul Survivor is primarily aimed at teenagers, however, we do provide limited children's work on site. All kids work is run by workers accountable to Soul Survivor and all appropriate welfare training and Child Protection procedures are in place!
Young children’s groups run from 11am – 1pm and the older ones have an additional session in the afternoon. Since younger kids’ work isn’t on during the evening meetings, there’s a film for them in the evening and a drop in session in the afternoon. For the times of all of these sessions see below.
Wrigglers runs from 11am – 1pm, at the same time as the morning meeting.
A very nice crèche facility for the under 2’s with lots of slides, sandpits, water works, picture books, cuddly toys and all sorts of lovely helpers who'll distract the young pups with buscuits and froot juices as their mum/dad or guardian makes an escape out the front door! Crossword and Soduku puzzles are available for the more advanced.
Explorers runs from 11am – 1pm, at the same time as the morning meeting.
Explorers is packed full of mentally and physically stimulating activities that include (among more peaceful things) dancing, jumping, shouting, running and screaming for Jesus in specially tailored worship and teaching times.
Engage runs from 11am – 1pm, at the same time as the morning meeting.
Although we know the young school crowd like letting their hair down once in a while, we also appreciate that these young whipper snappers don’t just want to play in sand pits all day. Engage is therefore a space where the young pups can learn about Jesus and spend times worshipping and praising Him in a fun, relevant and crazy environment.
Breakout runs in the morning and evening meetings (from 11am – 1pm and then again from 7pm to 9pm).
Breakout is a place of worship and teaching with opportunities for prayer in a safe, friendly and understandable environment.
Sessions reflect the main meetings in the big top, but are pitched at appropriate levels and relevant topics.
Free time runs from 3pm-5pm.
An afternoon drop-in! A couple of hours where parents can bring their kids, grab a cup of tea and have a sit down. There’s the chance to chat with other parents and also the kids team who will fill you in with what's been going on in children’s sessions. Toys, crafts, cartoons and movies will also be available (for the kids).
There will also be Baby Bathing facilities at Soul Survivor. This will at specific times during the afternoon (we'll let you know venues and times nearer the event). We will provide baby baths, warm water and a dry space. Parents will need to bring a baby (of course), a baby bath (if they'd rather use their own), toiletries, towels etc.
As an alternative to the main meetings a specific venue will be screening children's films. However, these sessions will not form part of the supervised children’s programme, so any kids present will need to be accompanied by an adult at all times. We suggest parents club together so that one adult comes with a number of children.
Registration for all children will be from 5- 7pm on arrival day. When you bring your child/children to the venue, a member of the team will take the details for you and your child and issue you with a security card. You will need to show the card at each session and sign the child in and out as an added security measure. We'll make more info available nearer the event.
