We can now proudly announce the first winner of our 'Get you and your Soul Survivor hoodie or t-shirt on the telly' competition and we're very excited indeed!

The lovely lady featured in a few seconds of national TV last week was the one and only Marie Willis from St Clements Church in Parkstone, Poole. She was visiting a friend in London, decided to go ice skating and inadvertently got herself filmed! What a star!

Anyway, Marie is our first - and so far only - winner of the competition. If you think you can follow in her footsteps then send us the evidence! Get yourself on telly with your Soul Survivor gear on and there are prizes to be won!

Right then, this doesn't come round too often. You wait all year and then two come along at once! That's it, there are now two lovely jobs going in the Soul Survivor Office. Believe it or not, you can join our team by either being our wonderful new Receptionist or helping us to manage Soul Action! Both roles require a very special person indeed, someone who gets what we're about and likes a bit of a laugh too!

Right, this is a brilliant idea, and it's all thanks to super dooper cook Heston Blumenthal. A few of us were watching his latest Channel 4 series last night and guess what? In the background of one of the scenes we spotted an awesome young lady wearing a green Soul Survivor hoodie! Yes! She got herself and her hoodie on national TV. What a legend. If you'd like to see the awesome bit of Soul Survivor sneakery just check out the latest episode of Heston's Feasts (on a meal that could be served on the Titanic) and skip forward to 13 minutes and 57 seconds, or 16 minurtes and 18 seconds and there you'll spot our top hoodie wearing ice skater!

But that's not it. We've had an idea and here it is...

Get yourself on national TV wearing a Soul Survivor hoodie or t-shirt, send us the evidence (in the form of a clip from the telly) and we'll give you a prize (something like a CD or book from the shop). We'll also feature you in our emerging hoodie hall of fame! Sounds like fun!

new names & speakers confirmed for our summer events

Boy, have we been busy! We've managed to confirm a whole new load of speakers and chaps who'll be coming along to this summer's Soul Survivor and Momentum events!

We haven't got too much space here to write them all down, so just skip to the relavant event pages (below) to see who's coming along! Plus you can have a bit of fun by checking out Talking Carl's top bands vid. All of these bands will be joining us this summer! Yes!

You'll notice we haven't listed any of our in-house worship leaders. Don't panic, Beth Croft, Sam Parker and Andreana Arganda will all be with us this summer (along with another special guest), but we're just working out who will be leading at what week! More to come soon!

By now, we're hoping that you've received your lovely Soul Survivor or Momentum Mini Mag in the post. We hope you like them! If you haven't had one yet, don't panic, you can read them online...

Whether you've received a mag in the post or had a gander online, we'd love to hear what you think of the articles and mags in general, so click the link to find out how you can fill out a survey and tell us your thoughts. We'd love to improve what we're doing, and the only way to make that happen is if you guys tell us what you liked, didn't like and where we can be better!

what's that coming through your letterbox?

Yes. We've sent you something (well, that's if you're on our database and have cleverly ticked the 'send me stuff' box)! In the next few days thousands of you will be receiving a nice little mini magazine from us at Soul Survivor. But that's not it. We've created two mags, one for you 'too cool for school' Soul Survivor kids and a separate one for you 'older and mouldier' Momentum types. But wait, that's not it either! We've chucked a DVD in the package too! The mags have some great articles, pics and random thoughts in, so enjoy them... it's a little Easter gift from us to you, that'll hopefully encourage you in your walk with Jesus!

And don't panic, if you don't get anything in the post, it's not the end of the world. We'll be adding the magazine and videos to our site next week, so you won't have missed the boat. See, we are nice!
