An RSS news feed is a simple way of seeing when we've updated content on our website or released new Soul Survivior news.
RSS stands for 'really simple syndication' and is essentially a simple page of code that can be translated to loads of different places. So, if you want, your web browser can tell you when we've updated our site!
How do I read a news feed?
Essentially our news feed is just a string of simple code. It's an xml file, but it needs to be translated a bit before it makes sense. The box on the right of our homepage translates the feed for us to embed on our site, whereas your own web browser is likely to read the feed as a simple web page.
It's likely that your browser will understand the feed and, you can subscribe to our news service in a similar way to how you would bookmark your favourite websites! You'll be able to see when we've added new content and what content you've already viewed! Some browsers may take you straight to Google's news reader, which is a little internet app from Google that'll help you read and subscribe to the news feed.

Now, this is where it gets interesting. If you're clever and have a blog or website, then you can use the feed to either build an app or widget that will display the content of the feed on your pages (which is nice). The feed on our homepage is an example, but also the little widget below is something we quickly made (using a free web site demo!) and is an example of what's possible.
Have it yourself...
If you like the widget, just click the options tab on the bottom of it, and there's loads of ways you can use this very device including on your Desktop, MySpace, blogging pages or your own website! It's the best way to keep up to speed with all that is going on as soon as you turn on your computer! (If you want it on your desktop you'lll have to install a little programme from Spring Widgets, but they seem nice enough!).
Get it on Facebook...
Just log into your Facebook account and go to http://apps.facebook.com/soulsurvivornews/
to embed a little news feed as a Soul Survivor application on your profile. That way, whenever you login to update your pages, you and all your mates will be able to see what's going on with Soul Survivor!
