// WHY A WEEKEND AWAY FROM IT ALL?

Mainly, we thought we’d find time for a weekend away in March because we couldn’t wait until next summer to get back together again! There’s something encouraging and challenging about gathering a whole load of 20s and 30s from across the country into one place- we’re really looking forward to hanging out together,  supporting each other, finding out what’s going on with other people  and taking time out at the start of the New Year, to focus on God afresh.

Those of us who are in our 20s and 30s are facing more and more different challenges with our walk with God than ever before.

 

What does it mean for us to live a radical life for Jesus in our place of work?
How do we grow in faith and trust God for his provision when we also have a mortgage to pay?
How does our faith impact the decisions we make about relationships, careers, debt?

We want to focus on Jesus and giving all our daily issues over to him – but we also want to give space for God to speak to us about each of these areas and reflect on what it means to not just give it all over to him but to include him, involve him and allow the holy spirit to inform our decisions.

We want to meet with God, hear from his word, be filled with his spirit and be equipped to step up and live a life less ordinary, in a world that’s willing to settle for an average way of doing things. We want to be radical disciples of Jesus.

Center Parcs is a great setting for this and definitely a step up from camping!
