Rap giants of the 1980's EPMD gave us all a warning. That warning was 'You gots to chill'. And thats exactly what these laid back, awesome venues are all about.
Dotted around the Momentum like a delicate sprinkling of one hundreds and thousands on your mum's nicest cake are a selection of the ripest, friendliest and most laid back cafes you could evenr imagine! Here's what we're planning for 2010...
cafe uno afternoons
Vibed out like listening to a Stevie Wonder album in a bed of strawberry jelly are the Uno Afternoons. No pressure time to kick back, get yourself caffeinated up and put your groove out. Café Uno is what summer loungin’ was invented by God for… Space to unwind yourself and chill. Nip in to take five and end up staying ‘til sundown chatting to other jazz cats about the life and times of Miles Davis. You dig?
the soul action cafe
Activism is a recycled brown paper cup full of fairly traded coffee. The Chomsky’s, Monbiont’s and Chris Martin’s of our world all started raging against the machine’s capitalist hegemony from a base such as the Soul Action Café, mainly inspired by a tasty brew, some nice cakes and the informative literature... so come and learn the ropes!

Roll on in to our joint. Yes sir. We’d love it if you’d pop in for a chat (though please take your shoes off, we’ve just had a new carpet put down). It’ll be nice to get to know you a bit more. Get yourself a nice bit of cake and put your feet up for a bit whilst members and friends of the Soul Survivor team make you a nice cuppa... yes, yes, we really are that nice.

With views to rival those from the Empire State Building, the Eiffel Tower or the moon, it’s this year’s exquisite ToolShed balcony café. From this beautiful mezzanine eatery you can look down over the hoards with arms extended wide and pretend to be an Emperor giving one last rallying call to his troops before battle. If that’s not your cup of tea then how about a cup of tea?
