5. camping advice
You may think you're a bit of a Ray Mears when it comes to outdoor survival skills, but we thought we'd give you a brief list of the things you'll need to remember to have a sucessful camping stay with us!
Please check the fire regulations (below) and also the safety advice and site rules so you know the score!
villages!
Most people stay on site in our tent 'villages'. These are blobs of tents which you are allocated to by the postcode of the church you wish to camp with, so make sure you put that church's details and postcode on your booking form. You do not have to camp onsite to attend Momentum. There is no change in price if you stay off site.

hire a tent or caravan...
Although some of us love the idea of the living under the starry night sky for a few days, we might not own a tent, know how to put one up, or would just prefer a caravan! Well, for a little extra cost these companies can come to help you out!

don't forget: your tent poles!
It might sound stupid, but every year youth groups turn up and don't have the right poles to erect their tent. Make sure you check your tents before leaving to ensure you have everything you'd need, including ground sheets and pegs. You'd also do well to have a mallet! There is a very basic store on site, but they don't do much camping stuff, so don't forget the essentials!!
don't forget: a torch & cooking stuff!
It gets pretty dark out in the Somerset countryside so bring a few torches to help you see your way on a late night stroll. Plus, if you're cooking your own food then make sure you bring a stove and something to store food in (a cool bag or ice box). You can buy replacement gas cylinders on site and also swap ice packs too.
don't forget: watch the weather
Although the Lord might shine His face upon us during the week, the sun might not. Last year's events faced some serious rainy weather, so make sure you're prepared with a lot of water proof bags (for your clothers and food) and some trendy cagools and wellies. Your friends may laugh at you, but they'll be begging to borrow your wellingtons if the weather turns!
fire Regulations
Lots of tents, barbeques and sleepy people results in a nightmare situation for the fire service. Therefore we have a few fire regulations that we'd love you to consider and burn into your memory (pun intended).
Smoking is not permitted in any of the venues at Momentum.
Smoking is not allowed in tents or caravans.
Tents and caravans need to be 3m apart from each other to allow fire access and minimise spread of fire.
