1. the what, where and when...

The point of the five days is to journey together. We meet together because of Jesus. We want to know him more and live out lives that speak loudly of his love and compassion.

None of us are at our destination with God, we’re all continuing with him, desperate to know more of his grace, presence and call on our lives. At the heart of Momentum is a desire to worship God, hear from his word and pray for each other.

this might help show you a few things

what else?

Momentum is the older sibling to Soul Survivor - so the worship, teaching and ministry all feels pretty similar, but at Momentum we want to tackle the big issues that fill our lives as students or twenty/thirty somethings. This is space to help us all work out what it means to be living for Jesus in our universities and workplaces (and anywhere else we find ourselves).  You’ll find loads of seminars over the five days that cover everything from handling money to sex & relationships; working out God’s calling on your life, to dealing with stuff when it doesn't go how you'd planned.

What we want to do at Momentum, is invite God again into the busyness and mess of our lives; to wrestle with the big and small issues, to be challenged and inspired and to take time and space to hang out with Him and with each other. It’s really that simple, so we hope you like it!

scratching where you're itching...

We’re trying really hard to get Momentum just right for you.

Flick through 'this section' and you’ll find venues and seminar streams that exist only at Momentum (some serve a nice pint too), so hopefully, Momentum will scratch where you’re itching (though not like that). If you have any suggestions, do get in touch...

where is it?

Momentum is held at the Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Bath, BA4 6QN

We divide the showground up in to camping 'villages' and each village has access to drinking water and toilets and showers are nearby. For more information about what to expect from village life head to the camping info page.
take me there now...

We've got a bunch of other helpful information about getting to the showground and what to do when you arrive on the arrival day page.
i'd like to know more about this...

when?

Momentum 2010 is taking place between 21 - 25 August 2010.

Momentum begins with a 7pm evening meeting on Saturday 21st August. All the cafes and other venues will open up after the evening meeting (around 9pm) and run through until around midnight. From Sunday to Wednesday we have a chocka block programme of teaching, workshops, venues and entertainment.

Seminars begin each day at 9.30am, 2.30pm and 4pm. The speaker will usually talk for around 40 minutes and there's often space at the end for Q&A and/or space for personal response to the message (ie. you can get prayed for by someone). For all the latest info about what's going on, head to the seminars page.

Venues are open in the afternoons and evenings from roughly 1-6pm and 9.30-midnight. For all the info about the venues head to the venues section.

And since all good things come to an end (except Jesus), in typical style, Momentum too will come to an end. The venues all run until midnight on Wednesday 25th August. Most people will stay overnight and then head home on Thursday morning. (You'll need to be packed and heading for home by 9.30am).
