Survivor stories...
By you lot who went to Week A!
So, we've back in around 4,000 people joined us up in Stafford for Soul Survivor Week A. God did some incredible things amongst us and we're really moved by some of the stories that have emerged from those five Jesus focused days. Below we've written ot just a few of the testimonies you have sent in, have a read and be encouraged!
Where can you find over 6000 young people meeting together to praise and worship God? I’ve been coming to Soul Survivor for a few years now and I am always amazed at how powerfully God can move, especially when his people are united. It is so encouraging to be able to worship God with thousands of others.
For me I found the late night worship was the best part – a chance to worship freely and/or just spend time with God. Soul survivor is a break from the norm and I’d encourage any young person to go – to meet God and have a great time you will never forget.

I was playing a football match when I was tackled really badly and broke both of my hips. I have not been able to sit down or walk properly. When I was being prayed for I felt a tingling in my hip and now they are 100% working properly.

God has healed me of hurt from some bad friendships, let me be able to forgive and let go and not feel guilty. He has healed me of migraines and sickness and I’m happier, feeling that I don’t want to live for anything but God. He is the centre of my life now and always will be!

Yesterday whilst praying for others I began to sense God’s presence coming and empowering his people. People were connecting with God everywhere and the environment was so filled with the Holy Spirit… I realised that it is often easier to be blessed when you bless others. I am so happy to feel precious to God and I can’t wait to take all I’ve learnt back to my school and community… I truly believe that if we are prepared to take risks and give it all we’ve got we will see God’s Kingdom on earth.

Soul Survivor is an amazing place to experience and celebrate the greatness of God. It’s so awesome to be with so many fellow Christians and something you can’t/won’t experience anywhere else. It is inspiring and really makes you want to do something to help people who are less fortunate.
The speakers tell of how they have been called by God to do something and how they are doing this and you just sit there thinking, ‘wow, I want to do something like that!’. I had an absolutely amazing time and really hope to become closer to God through reading the bible.

I came to Soul Survivor as part of a Café Team, expecting to be serving, but have been blessed immensely by God, learning to worship him in this way.

Recently I fell down the stairs at home and dislocated my knee. Since then I have been on crutches and in quite a lot of pain. Yesterday I received prayer from my youth group and leaders and today the pain has gone! I have even been dancing around like a complete loon worshipping God!

Soul Survivior is a fantastic place to strengthen your faith and build a stronger relationship with God. It’s so empowering to know there are such a huge number of other believers and to know you are not alone. I attended the Soul Sista meetings which are for girls, the speakers talked of their personal experiences and they focused on talking about problems which all girls face, from appearance and relationships to self-esteem. Having the speakers talk of their own experiences showed us how we could deal with similar situations, which I got a lot out of. This was my second time at Soul Survivor and it was just as powerful as the first and reassures me that this is the right path. Soul Survivor is insane!

This week at Soul Survivor I have had the biggest change! On the first night I admitted to God about my eating disorder which I was scared to do. At Soul Sista on Monday I finally let God take my eating disorder and he has taken over and taken control of it for me. I feel so safe in God’s arms and feel so blessed right now! Thank you God so much!
