the holy spirit & his gifts day event
Join us for a one-day conference, hosted by Mike Pilavachi, where we'll be learning more about the Holy Spirit, the gifts he gives us and how we can pray in his power.
We'll also be looking at how to pray for people who would like to become Christians and how to introduce them to the works of the Holy Spirit. The day is for everyone whether you've been praying for people for years, or have only just started following Jesus!

what is the day all about?
Along with space for worshipping God in song and learning from the Bible, one of the key features of any Soul Survivor event is time spent waiting on God, letting His Spirit speak and direct us... It's one of our essentials! And it's nothing new... Churches around the world have used the same idea week in week out for centuries!
ministry what?
Often we'll have a time near the end of our meetings where we simply invite God's Spirit to be with us. We call this a time of 'ministry' and it usually involves us praying for each other. During our summer events these ministry times can involve up to 11,000 people praying and seeking God together... it's amazing!
the point of the day...
There are no special people in God's Kingdom. We're all special to our amazingly loving God... and he gives all of us His Spirit. The point of the day is that we'd all recognise that and let God use us as we learn to pray sensitively for others. None of us are perfect prayers, we can all learn more whether we've been doing this sort of thing for years, or are only just starting out.
who is the holy spirit day for?
The day is open to anyone! However, we'd especially love those of you who are coming to serve on a team at one of this summer's events to pop along to this training day too... and guess what? It's free for all of you team members! It'll be a great way to prepare for the summer, meet other team members and to get praying too!

We love team members more than we love curry (and we really, really, really do love curry).
To cut a long story short, none of the venues or stuff that happens at Soul Survivor could happen without our volunteer teams. It’d just be us and a few thousand peeps in a big field, with maybe an acoustic and some sandwiches Beth and Andy made.
So you get the point; we love team members. And because we love them so much we're inviting all of you who are on a team in 2011 to come to a special afternoon tea we're putting on for you! It'll be a great opportunity to meet other team members and hopefully your team leader too! And don't worry, you won't miss any of the Holy Spirit day sessions as the special teams tea will take place during our dinner break! Hooray!
