Be on team
Every summer we literally need hundreds of volunteers to help make our summer events happen. Whether it's serving in a cafe, helping out on the sports programme, stewarding the masses around safely or getting involved with first aid, then we'd love you to come and help out. There are loads of teams to choose from so check the links below to get involved. If you apply to be on team then you will receive a discounted price for entry to the events... in most cases this means a free place! So go on, have a look.

XLP!
XLP is a Christian charity at the cutting edge of urban youth work in the U.K. Now in it’s 14th year, XLP works in over 40 schools and hosts over 65 after schools clubs ever month, as well as running ground breaking programmes such as Arts Showcase and Gunz Down. For over a decade, XLP has witnessed numerous positive stories of young people whose futures have been radically changed. They have moved from a life of hopelessness to a life of hope and purpose. These stories rarely get aired but they are the fuel that keeps XLP’s vision alive.
XLP currently has two exciting opportunities to join its vibrant and ever growing team.
Finance and Administration Assistant
An opportunity exists to join XLP’s office staff that supports the day-to-day operations of the charity. The role of Finance and Administration Assistant involves performing basic bookkeeping tasks under the guidance of the Finance Manager and undertaking a number of administrative tasks to support other XLP staff. You will be part of a team of people based in our Lewisham offices who work together to support the front-line project work.

Fundraiser/Development Manager
An opportunity exists to join XLP as our Fundraiser/Development Manager. You will work closely with, and under the guidance of, the CEO and COO on a wide range of activities aimed at generating income that will support our work.
We have strong relationships with a number of companies and trusts that support our work; building strong relationships and propositions with them is a key part of this role. In addition, we have a large number of individual donors and churches that support us; communicating effectively with them and adding to their number is important. Also, many of our existing friends and supporters put us in contact with other organizations and people who need to be introduced to XLP’s work; these indirect opportunities need to be pursued.
XLP has a recently published a book, “Conspiracy of the Insignificant,” and income from this and other merchandise needs to be developed. Finally, you would also be involved in “special” projects, working closely with the Marketing Manager, on DVD and brochure materials and other means of communication.
