Momentum dates have changed from 18 - 22 July 2008 to 21 - 25 August 2008!

Great news! We’ve managed to change the date of Momentum 08 (the Soul Survivor festival for young adults, students and the young at heart!) to the Bank Holiday weekend in August! We know that the earlier date in July we had this year didn’t work for lots of you, (particularly those of you who are teachers), so we’re really pleased we’ve managed to get the Royal Bath & West Showground in Somerset from 21st – 25th August.

This is also straight after Soul Survivor Week C which should work better for any of you who like to bring groups to Soul Survivor, then come and receive for yourself at Momentum. Hooray!

What better way to launch a year of local church mission than an evening of prayer, worship and seeking God's presence? Join us at Soul Survivor Watford as we spend from 10:00pm til 7:00am asking God to make 2008 a year of amazing church activity in the UK. Mike Pilavachi, Ali Martin and Sam Parker will be helping to host the event, so make sure you come along for a decent party (it's free too)! More info is coming soon available here (GO>>)

It's not just us who are holding launch events for Hope though. Why not check out the event at the York Minster Cathedral if you're from up that way. Andy Hawthorne and Y Friday are all inviolved... it costs £10 for the evening and lasts from 8:00pm til 12.45am. Take a look at the Hope08 yoprk site for more info (GO>>)

Slum Survivor 2007 has gone off with an absolutley massive bang! Over 200 churches have registered on the Soul Action website either running events throughout October or telling us about their events in the next few months...

If you don't know the idea involved raising money for and awareness of the 1 billion people around the world who live in slums. Youth groups and young people have spent a weekend limiting their lifetsyles, living in a temporary shelter and facing restrictions and challenges.

Hooray... the new Soul Survivor 2007 Live album is here. In fact it's been here for a few days and we seem to have copies to sell to you lot before anyone else in the whole world. 'Living For Your Glory' features some of the songs we all sang at last summer's Soul Survivor events including 'You're The Light', 'You Are', 'Holding Nothing Back', 'Living For Your Glory', 'Mighty To Save' and 'You Never Let Go'.

Worship leaders on the album include Ben Cantelon, Tim Hughes, Sam Parker, Andreanna Arganda and Beth Coulson. You can buy your copy for just £12 from our wonderful shop...

The Hope 2008 year of mission is firing on all cylinders as plans, churches, organisations, people, youth groups and anyone else you can think of is heeding the call and getting involved. Us at Soul Survivor are no exception and we're getting on board helping to promote, support and organise this nationwide initiative.

The general idea is that churches across the UK 'raise their game' for a year of focused and coordinated activity. Five 'high points' throughout the year are being used as markers which churches and groups can buy into and arrange activities around. There's SOULINTHECITY type stuff going on, plus prayer, Alpha courses and loads of other stuff too.

Why not check out our dedicated Hope pages and find out more. If you're a church leader then we'd like to invite you to one of several dates across the UK where Mike P, Andy Hawthorne and Roy Crowne will explore the vision a bit more. See the Hope 08 pages for more:

Many of you will have seen information on our website about Worship Central and may be wondering how it works with Passion For Your Name. Worship Central is run by Tim Hughes in conjunction with Holy Trinity Brompton and Soul Survivor and currently offers one-day conferences for worship leaders, musicians and worshippers.

We're excited about Worship Central but there are currently no plans for a Worship Central five day conference in 2007. Keep up to date with Worship Central news at www.worshipcentral.org.uk or you can find out about all the Worship Central events in the Soul Survivor Guide.

	SOULINTHECITY Durban might seem like a long way off, but just next year we're going to send 100 people out to South Africa to serve in a mini version of the SITC initiative. Spaces are extremely limited and booking/applications to go have just opened. We'd love to hear from you if you're interested, so check the dates, costs and details at www.soulinthecirtydurban.com and apply asap. This is an amazing opportunity to get involved in supporting and serving the Church in Durban and helping us to work out what sort of things will be possible in 2009. If you're up for it, or know someone that would be, then direct them over to the SOULINTHECITY Durban website pretty quick... we reckon spaces might get snapped up really soon, so waste no time (GO>>)!
