But I'm not an evangelist!
We've all thought it from time to time, but how do we practically go about telling our mates about Jesus and what he means to us?

Stories from Soul Survivor Week A...
Soul Survivor Week A happened back in July and we had a great time. Read some of the stories to see just how amazing God is!

My nephew is five on Wednesday. That’s probably not too exciting for you, but for him the thought of a day of presents (including Transformers and dinosaurs), a McDonald’s lunch and three different parties is the pinnacle of excitement. When I saw him the other day I thought he might explode.
Anticipation is a fun thing. In the Soul Survivor office, we’re really excited about this month’s Soul Survivor events in Somerset. We’ve seen God do some amazing things up in Stafford at Week A and can’t wait to get together with thousands of you to see him do more of the same at Weeks B, C and Momentum. Like my nephew we’re buzzing at just the thought of it.
And that is never a bad thing… But we do need to be careful. In all our excitement about what might happen a few days, weeks or months down the line, we can wish away what we’re doing or - missing what’s going on - in the here and now.
My little nephew is so excited about being 5 because (and I quote) ‘when you’re five you can do things that four year olds can’t’. In a way I can relate to that, and if you’re anything like me you’ll know what I mean. When I did GCSE’s I couldn’t wait ‘til I was old enough to do A-Levels. When I did A-Levels I just wanted to get to Uni. When I was at Uni I couldn’t wait to start work, earn money and see where God would take me.
But in all those times, wherever we’re at, God can and will use us, and in fact looking back he did with me. Uni was a great time for me, and I’ve probably never had such a revelation of who God was and is then whilst I was doing A-Levels. Even though I was looking beyond, God wanted to use me there and then. I think the same is true for you now.
But it can be flippin’ hard to accept that sometimes. Things can be tough, boring or we might feel like we’re not where we should be. But the challenge is to find out what God is saying to us today, to ask him to use us today and to respond today. I guess following Jesus isn’t just about what might happen in the future, but what’s happening now. And that’s something to get excited about!
We’re still well excited about what God will do over the next few weeks, but we’re also hoping what he does will equip us to follow him better in the rest of our lives!
So, to help you get started, check out some of the other articles we have this month and make sure you enter the competition for a chance to win the brand new Soul Survivor Remixed album!
Hope to see you in Somerset
